The Shepard team brings a wealth of experience from both the life science industry and management consulting, with an average of over 15 years' experience in the areas of business process improvement, IT strategy, application architecture, and change management. We're small, flexible, and highly focused. We have the resources and experience to manage large, complex projects, but without the hype and overhead of a large consulting firm.
Colin Cook, CEO
Colin entered the field of management consulting after an 9-year career in advertising, during which time he served clients such as Levi Strauss, ATT, Blue Shield, and Virgin Megastore. As an executive producer at Foote Cone Belding San Francisco and founding partner of Swirl Advertising, he witnessed firsthand that while advertising can generate interest and motivate initial trial, it is operational excellence that creates sustained customer loyalty and, ultimately, builds brand equity. He formed Shepard Associates in 2001 to help life science companies increase their customer equity by aligning processes, workforce skills, and technology.

Micah has a background in both sociology and software architecture. Past roles include Senior Software Architect for Hewlett Packard and Lead Developer at Process Claims. Micah has a Masters in Sociology from University of Mississippi, where he acted as Director of the Sociology Research Laboratory, responsible for teaching statistical methods to undergraduates and training lab workers.
